I am part of an organization of photographers called The Littlest Heroes Project who offer sessions to little heroes! Little heroes are children who have faced or are facing some type of illness! Yesterday I had the opportunity to do my first session with three children and their families from Mended Little Hearts (http://www.mendedhearts.org/mlh/frame-mlh.htm). The three “heart” kiddos were an absolute blast to photograph! Seeing their smiling faces reminded me that life is precious and is meant to be enjoyed! I was so blessed by God to be able to do this session and I wanted to share their beautiful smiling faces with you! Thanks again for the opportunity to photograph your kiddos!!

I have had an incredibly busy but amazing weekend! I had the honor of working with Dani Snell (check her out www.danisnell.com) at the wedding of Josh and Crystal in Urbana, IL. It was a beautiful day September day with an amazing couple. It was the first time that I had met Josh and Crystal but their amazing smiles welcomed me immediately! There are some couples who just fit together, Josh and Crystal are that type of couple. After the wedding was over and we were taking portraits of just the two of them you could tell why they both smile so much! There is so much love between the two of them it is infectious! Not only were they smiling but so was everyone else. The bridal party celebrated Josh and Crystal’s love along with them! Thanks again for allowing me to be a part of your special day! I got the distinct honor of eating breakfast with a fellow photographer and then taking portraits for their family! Miss R has the most stunning blue eyes and she gets those baby blue naturally from mom and dad! Thanks guys! It was great! Enjoy your sneak peak!!

I am so thankful for these three folks! First off Josh has been serving our country overseas and is home for leave so I praise God for him and his calling to serve in our armed forces! Jessie has been my willing “senior” model once before. Thank you Jessie for your patience and willingness to allow me to photograph you!!! And I am so thankful I can call thier mom my friend!! I couldn’t decide!!!
This afternoon I was sitting at the computer and my daughter was playing and I heard someone trying to get in the door. It took me a second to realize they were using a key!!! my husband was suppose to be at work and he never comes home so I wasn’t sure what was going on. I peeked out the window and saw his truck and decided to let him in. When I open the door he is standing there looking handsome like his normal self and has a DOZEN roses in his hands. I repeat dozen! I was shocked and not really sure what to say!
He was out running and errand and decided to take a break and buy my flowers and deliver them! Now this might be normal for most of you ladies out there but I RARELY get flowers. I think maybe 4-5 times in the 7 years we have been together. Her pretty much caught me off gaurd! Needless to say I had to go buy a vase! I wish I could send smells over the internet because they are lovely!

It amazes me that my baby girl is 15 months old! How can that possibly be!!! Here are a few of her in all her bigness!
It is an awesome privledge to love and be loved! I am thankful for one of my best friends and her husband allowing me to spend some time with them and do some photos of them!
When asking her if I could “shoot” them she agreed of course because she is my friend. I asked if her husband will mind and she tells me no he will be fine. After the fact we were talking about the shoot! I was telling her how much I appreciated it and she reassured me that it doesn’t matter what they are doing as long as they are together they have fun! It is so true, it doesn’t matter to them they just want to be together! Hanging out with these to make me love my husband more!

It is always a privledge to have a session with close friends! Miss V has made it in front of my lens a few times but this was my first opportunity to do it formally! We had a great time playing but had to call Daddy in for a few real deal smiles! Dad’s gonna have his hands full when this brown-eyed beauty gets bigger!! Here are 3 for a little sneak peak!
